Children's safety while studying overseas was the main concern of parents at an international education exhibition, reports Shanghai Morning Post.

Expenses or quality of education are no longer the main issues for many families while choosing an overseas school or college - a quick check showed that over 80 per cent of the families had safety on their minds.

Experts said it was a result of recent cases, including one in which two Chinese students were murdered in Norway.
