Anti-Japanese rally in South Korea (Reuters) Updated: 2006-02-21 15:15
A South Korean protester shouts slogans at an
anti-Japanese rally in front of the Japanese embassy in Seoul February 21,
2006. The protesters demanded Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi
apologise for his visits to a Tokyo shrine that critics say glorifies
Japan's past militarism. They also demanded for Tokyo to drop its claim to
a set of desolate islands also claimed by Seoul. The picket reads 'censure
the visit to Yasukuni shrine'. [Reuters] |
