launching a major push to make buildings more energy-efficient to offset
worries over fuel shortages, pollution and global warming, the
government said Thursday. Experts will train members of the building industry
in using environmental-friendly technology while the government expects to
roll out tough, new standards and stricter enforcement
nationwide, construction ministry Vice Minister Qiu Baoxing said at a news conference.'
If you don't meet the energy-efficient standards, you will lose your
job,' Qiu warned design firms and builders. [AP]
