Beijing first into CBA play-off

Beijing has become the first team to reach the play-off season of the domestic CBA league after their victory over Dongguan in the 30th round.

Led by super center Menk Bateer, the North Conference leaders have beaten South Conference bottom team Dongguan 119-102 on their home turf Friday night.

Bateer has scored 27 points with 10 rebounds and six assists for the hosts, as his mother, who traveled from Inner Mongolia to Beijing to watch him play, cheered him on.
