his last foray into the martial arts genre.
[AFP] | The movie is a remake of the Bruce Lee
classic "Fist of Fury (1972)" that centers around the real life of legendary
Kung Fu master Fok Yuanjia, one of China's most famous fighters a century ago.
"I've said more than once that this will be my last martial arts film," Li
said in a webchat on China's leading portal Sina.com on Wednesday.
The action star has made some 70 films including international blockbusters
such as "Lethal Weapon" and "Hero."
"Fearless" was to have starred Bond girl Michelle Yeoh,
but director Ronny Yu decided to cut her part out in the final editing to
shorten the plot and quicken the pace of the film, reports said.
