the second quarter against the Denver Nuggets in their NBA basketball game

National Basketball Association club announced here Monday that an exam of
McGrady, who was hospitalized following back spasms during a game on Sunday,
showed no structural damage.
McGrady ranks fifth in the league in scoring with 25.4 points a game.
The Rockets went 0-8 when McGrady missed games earlier this season due to
back spasms and lost again Sunday when McGrady went out early.
McGrady, who has struggled with back pain his entire career, will miss
Tuesday's game at Charlotte and Wednesday's home game against Sacramento before
being re-evaluated on Friday. The Rockets host New Orleans on Saturday.
McGrady missed a jump shot at the end of the first half on Sunday against
Denver and grabbed his lower back. Wincing in pain, McGrady leaned forward
before collapsing on his back. He was then taken off the court on a stretcher.
The Rockets are 12-20, last in the Southwest Division and second-worst in the
Western Conference. They have struggled since 7-foot-6 All-Star center Yao was
sidelined by surgery to remove an infection on his big toe.
