Mild earthquake felt in New Delhi (Reuters) Updated: 2005-12-14 15:36
Residents in the Indian capital felt a mild earthquake on Wednesday, a day
after New Delhi was shaken by a 6.7 magnitude quake centered in the Hindu Kush
mountains in Afghanistan.
The Meteorological Department confirmed a quake in northern India, but did
not have details such as the magnitude immediately available. There were no
initial signs of damage or injuries.
Scores of houses were damaged in Afghanistan by Tuesday's early morning
earthquake, the biggest since the devastating October 8 South Asia quake that
killed almost 75,000.
