"We at Kooyong, along with thousands of Andre's adoring fans, will be thrilled to see him in action again on the historic center court next January," tournament director Colin Stubbs said in a statement. "It will be business as usual for him."

The evergreen Agassi, who turns 36 next April, will join world number one Roger Federer, number three Andy Roddick and Masters Cup winner David Nalbandian in the event.

Nalbandian's Argentine compatriot Guillermo Coria, Croatia's Ivan Ljubicic and Germany's Tommy Haas are also in the field.

One more spot remains open in the eight-man draw with Stubbs expected to make an announcement on the final player next week.
