Ronaldinho Gaucho and DiegoMaradona, two of soccer's best known figures at
present, are incomparable, Carlos Alberto Parreira, manager of the Brazil
national team said on Wednesday.

for Spanish soccer club Barcelona, was awarded the Golden Ball, one of European
football's highest awards, this week. Argentina's Diego Maradona is retired from
professional football, but works as a television presenter and coach.
"I learned a long time ago not to make comparisons. Each has their skills and
characteristics. Each played in a different era,"said Parreira.

Lobo Zagallo, a coordinator for the Brazilian national team added: "You cannot
make this comparison. They are from different eras. Ronaldinho still has a long
career ahead of him. If he keeps on this way, he may even acheive more than
Maradona."
Parreira said that Gaucho has all that is necessary to be an important figure
in the World Cup in Germany in 2006.
