Raptors shock star-studded Heat for first NBA victory
TORONTO (AFP) - The Toronto Raptors made their first victory of the National
Basketball Association season a big one.

action in Toronto, Sunday Nov. 20, 2005.
[AP] | The Raptors, who lost their first nine
games of the season, ended the skid with a dramatic 107-94 victory over Miami
thanks to a fourth-quarter rally sparked by Chris Bosh and Jalen Rose.
In ending the worst winless start in franchise history, the Raptors never led
until the 4 1/2-minute mark of the fourth quarter, then never trailed
thereafter.
They scored 40 points in the final period as they thoroughly outplayed and
outworked the Heat down the stretch.
"It feels good," Toronto coach Sam Mitchell said. "We're not going to say,
'It feels like more than one because it's just one.'
"I'm happy for those guys in there," he added. "You look at how we started
the first quarter, I thought we were getting good shots, we just weren't making
them. I think in the last three quarters, we scored 94 points."
Bosh registered his seventh straight double-double with 27 points and 12
rebounds, adding three blocks.
He triggered a game-ending 27-9 surge and also had the hoop that gave Toronto
the lead for good.
Rose scored 10 of his 22 points in the final five minutes, draining a
3-pointer and sinking 7-of-8 free throws in the last minute to seal the elusive
win.
