James bags triple-double to lead Cavs past 76ers

In Orlando, David West scored 34 points as the New Orleans Hornets beat the Magic 98-95.

Chris Paul added 21 points for the Hornets (4-5), who have won two straight. It took the team 33 games to get four wins last season.

Keyon Dooling and Hedo Turkoglu both scored 22 points and Dwight Howard scored 16 points and had 17 rebounds for the Magic.

In East Rutherford, Vince Carter scored 19 points as the New Jersey Nets beat the Washington Wizards 89-83.

Richard Jefferson scored 16 points and had 13 rebounds for the Nets (5-4), who have won two straight.

Antawn Jamison scored 23 points and had 13 rebounds and Gilbert Arenas scored 17 points for the Wizards (5-4), who lost their third straight game.

In Minneapolis, Kevin Garnett scored 19 points and had 11 rebounds as the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Charlotte Bobcats 102-89.

Michael Olozokandi added 18 points for the Timberwolves.

Raymond Felton scored 15 points and Kareem Rush scored 13 points for the Bobcats.

In Dallas, Josh Howard scored 26 points as the Mavericks beat the Detroit Pistons 119-82, handing the Pistons their first loss of the season after eight straight wins.

Dirk Nowitzki added 23 points for the Mavericks (7-2), while Erik Dampier added 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Richard Hamilton scored 18 points and Chauncey Billups added 12 points for the Pistons, who trailed by 26 points in the first quarter.

In San Antonio, Tim Duncan scored 24 points and had 13 rebounds as the Spurs beat the Phoenix Suns 97-91.
