"It's going to be a difficult task. But the pitch will be better," added
Ferguson.
Lille coach Puel said his team deserved to win.
"We had a great game tonight. We have been improving throughout the
competition," he said.
"Manchester United can be disappointed but we deserved to win."
Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Milenko Acimovic scored the games's only
goal on 38 minutes to give his side their first victory in this year's
competition.
"We have been very solid. The only regret I have is that we have not been
able to score another goal," Puel said.
"But conceding only one chance to Manchester United and beating them is a
great achievement."
However, Puel warned his squad against complacency.
"Whatever happens, I can say we will have to snatch our qualification at
Villareal," he said.
Lille next play hosts to Benfica before travelling to Spain in the final
round of group matches.
