Chinese basketball player Menk Bateer is working to secure a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers though it's not easy.

The Mongolian-born center used to play for Beijing of the Chinese league and the national team before joining the San Antonio Spurs in the 2002/03 season.

Though luckily winning a champion's ring with the Spurs two years ago, he didn't play a minute in that playoff season and began to struggle for a contract with whatever franchise interested in him.

Bateer trained with the Chicago Bulls in the summer, and now wears a Cavalier jersey.

He certainly knows the challenge, especially after staying on the bench through Cleveland's 116-94 win over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday.
