Chelsea wins again, but yields a goal
Chelsea conceded its first goal in winning its seventh straight Premier League game Saturday, a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa behind two goals by Frank Lampard.
Luke Moore ended Chelsea's six-game league streak of shutouts when he scored in the 44th minute on the road. "I think it's not normal to not concede a goal for so long," Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said. "I'm happy the goal was not a silly goal or a mistake by one of my players." Manchester United lost 2-1 to visiting Blackburn, Arsenal tied 0-0 at promoted West Ham and Liverpool scrambled to a 2-2 tie at Birmingham. Chelsea has 21 points and is followed by Charlton with 15, Bolton with 14 and West Ham with 11. Chelsea is 10 ahead of United, 11 ahead of Arsenal and 14 ahead of Liverpool. "Is the title over or not? I don't believe so," Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said. "If everyone is right about the championship, then let's stop, give them the trophy and then start again." In other Saturday games, it was: Charlton 2, West Bromwich Albion 1; Wigan 1,
Everton 0; Newcastle 1, Manchester City 0; and Bolton 1, Portsmouth
