Crippled plane lands safely at L.A. airport (Reuters) Updated: 2005-09-22 13:38
Pilots of a JetBlue aircraft with its front landing gear turned sideways and
smoking, guide their craft to a successful emergency landing at Los Angeles
International Airport in Los Angeles September 21, 2005. The flight originated
in Burbank, California and was en route to New York when it encountered the
problem. It circled Southern California for more than two hours to burn fuel
before making the successful landing. [Reuters]
