Lauer, captain of the USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54), a destroyer from the US
Pacific Fleet, which is arriving to start a four-day port call in Qingdao,
East China's Shandong Province. Lauer brings with him a total of 310
servicemen. It is the eighth visit by a US naval vessel to
Qingdao.[newsphoto]
