Super Center Yao Ming played only half of the game, still recorded 15 points, leading the Chinese squad, with eight boards, one steal and one assist.

Unlike their first match against Iran which looked more like Yao's one-man solo show, Yao's team mates began to step up in Friday's game with three players scoring double figures.

The win also secured China's place in the quarter-finals.
