Zhao Yan sobbed as she described to jurors how she was beaten at the Rainbow Bridge while touring Niagara Falls last July.

Zhao said she thinks more than one officer was involved in the beating that left her face swollen and bruised.

Only one officer, Robert Rhodes, has been charged with violating the woman's civil rights by using excessive force after mistaking her for a drug suspect.

Rhodes says the woman ran when summoned by officers. The trial continues Tuesday afternoon.
