BEIJING C AFC Champions League quarter-finalists Shandong Luneng and Shenzhen Jianlibao both emerged victorious on the weekend as the China Super League resumed after a three-week break.

Having scored in Shandongs 2-1 China FA Cup win against Inter Shanghai last Wednesday, midfielder Lu Zheng netted his first league goal of the season as the Jinan-based side won 1-0 at Chongqing Qiche. The 20-year-old struck with just four minutes remaining as Shandong picked up their eighth win of the season to move up to fourth spot.

Meanwhile, first-half goals by Yang Chen and Lu Bofei helped lift Shenzhen to a 2-1 win over Qingdao Zhongneng. Qu Bo scored a consolation goal for Qingdao with 10 minutes remaining.

Table-toppers Dalian Shide maintained their 10-point lead as they edged Inter Shanghai 2-1. Li Yang opened the scoring for Inter after 19 minutes but Romanian forward Zoran Jankovic leveled for Dalian with his 12th goal of the season on the half-hour and his strike partner Zou Jie hit the winner on 63 minutes.

Tianjin Teda and Shanghai Shenhua remain Dalians closest challengers after both sides picked up away wins. A goal by Cao Yang five minutes from time lifted Tianjin to a 2-1 win at Shanghai Zobon, while Yu Taos 14th minute strike was the only goal in Shenhuas 1-0 win at Sichuan Guancheng.

Bejing Hyundai ended a four-match winless run with a 1-0 win over Wuhan Huanghelou, while Liaoning and Shenyang Ginde drew 1-1 in a match between two struggling sides.
