The 2005 World Celebrity Golf tournament, or WCG, will tee off at the Pine Valley Golf Club in Beijing September 10.

A host of sports personalities, including China's well-known table tennis coach Cai Zhenhua and former Chicago Bulls hoopster George Gervin, will take part in the tournament.

Meanwhile, former US presidents Bill Clinton, Hollywood stars Steve Guttenberg and Jason Priestly have also been invited to the event.

It is the first time the international golf event will come to China.

Proceeds from the event will go to help charity groups in China.
