England Premiership giants Manchester United arrived in Beijing from the Hong
Kong Special Administrative Region on Sunday, July 24.
The team will play a friendly with China's Super League club Beijing
Guo'an on Tuesday, July 26 at the Worker's Stadium where earlier the visiting
Spanish League giants Real Madrid rallied to beat the host Beijing 3-2 with a
late winner from Luis Figo.
The inclusions of Manchester United's Park,a new South Korean recruit, Dong
Fangzhou, the young Chinese talent, adds new focus to the United's Asian Tour, as
the latter scored the second goal during a 2-0 friendly victory over Hong Kong.
It's Manchester United fourth trip to Asia in the last eight years. The squad
includes big name players Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and
Ryan Giggs. Skipper Roy Keane didn't make the trip because of an injury,
while winger Cristiano Ronaldo stayed behind because his father was ill, the
Manchester club said.
