The CONCACAF Gold Cup hots up this weekend when the tournament reaches the quarter-final stage.

"Nobody wants to go home," U.S. goalkeeper Kasey Keller told reporters on Friday.

"But the one difference in the Gold Cup, compared to a (World Cup) qualifier or something like that, is that no teams have their full squads here.

"That takes a minor bit of intensity out of it but gives a great opportunity for a lot of players to play three or four or five games that they normally wouldn't get...so those guys are going to be showing some intensity."

The U.S. face Jamaica in Foxboro, Massachusetts on Saturday, the same day Costa Rica play Honduras.

Holders and four-time champions Mexico meet Colombia in Houston, Texas on Sunday. The last quarter-final is between Panama and South Africa.

Mexico coach Ricardo La Volpe is wary of the Colombians.

"We have to respect Colombia," La Volpe said. "It's a very complicated team because it's full of youth.
