Real Madrid arrived in Chicago on Thursday, boasting stars such as David
Beckham, Michael Owen and Ronaldo for its two-game tour of the United States.
The
nine-time European club champion meets Mexican power Chivas Guadalajara on
Saturday at Soldier Field. Then, Real Madrid meets Major League Soccer's Los
Angeles Galaxy on Monday in Carson, Calif., before heading to Beijing, Tokyo and
Bangkok.
"It's a chance to show what European soccer offers," midfielder Jose Maria
Gutierrez said during Thursday's news conference.
Saturday's match is the first on a world tour that will include Real Madrid's
first game against an MLS opponent in the Galaxy.
For Beckham and Owen, this is the second trip to the U.S. in six weeks. They
played here with England's national team in late May.
