Sino-Grenadan prospects brighten
Premier Wen Jiabao, meeting the first Grenadan prime minister to visit China after the restoration of diplomatic ties, said the two countries need a comprehensive blueprint for their future bilateral development. In a meeting with Keith Mitchell, who is currently on a five-day visit to China, Wen expressed his appreciation for the Grenadan Government's support of the one-China policy. Wen said he would like to see additional co-operation in the fields of trade, investment, finance and fisheries, adding that China will continue to support economic and social development of the Caribbean island nation. The Grenadan guest said the development of the Sino-Grenadan relationship would bring benefits to local people and expressed great confidence in the future of bilateral development. He said the Grenadan people recognized the decision of resuming diplomatic relations with China is indeed the "best" choice for Grenada.
