Bulgarian Ivan Slavkov was thrown out of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) after being linked with corruption.

The voting was 82 in favor of expulsion and 12 against during a special hearing on Thursday.

Slavkov had been charged with bringing the IOC into disrepute.

Slavkov was suspended from the IOC last year at the Athens Olympics after being caught on camera in a BBC TV programme indicating that IOC members were ready to accept bribes to secure their votes in the election of the host city for the 2012 Olympics.
