Ronaldinho's agent has laughed off reports linking the Brazilian superstar to a move to Chelsea as Bar?a hope to tie him to the club for life.

chelsea ronaldinho move A Spanish radio station is insistent that Ronaldinho is unsettled at Barcelona after his friend, Sandro Rosell, resigned from the club's board and that Chelsea are posied to make a ?5million offer for him.

But the player's brother, who acts as his agent, Roberto de Assis claims he knows nothing about any movement from the Blues.

"I do not know anything of this offer, nothing has arrived yet although in football you can never be surprised," he said.

Instead, reports in Catalunya suggest that the former PSG playmaker is set to put pen-to-paper on a mammoth deal at Camp Nou that could see him stay until 2014.

Bar?a president, Joan Laporta, and the club's economic vice-president, Ferran Soriano, have been in prolonged negotiations over a huge deal that would see Ronaldinho sign an initial five-year deal with options for a further four seasons.

The offer is said to be worth around ?30million to the player and would see his buy-out clause go upto ?50million, the same level that Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi have in their contracts.
