Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is determined to move to Chelsea.

The Reds have already rejected a £32 million bid from the Blues in the last 24 hours for Gerrard.

Spanish giants Real Madrid have also watched the situation with interest.

But a friend of Gerrard told The Sun: "Madrid is no longer an option as far as he is concerned now Chelsea have shown their hand.

"Deep down Stevie is a home bird and would prefer to stay in England. Chelsea is the place for him - it's just a matter of getting the deal sorted out."
