12 drug traffickers sentenced to death

Twelve drug smugglers have been sentenced to death by the Kunming intermediate court in Yunnan province. They will be executed immediately.

The court ruled that they would be executed the death sentence immediately and that their property is confiscated.

Ten of the criminals were convicted for drug trafficking, after they were caught trying to transport large quantities of drugs in Yunnan.

Eight of them have been named as Ma Qinghong, Sheng Youming, Hu Yuerong, Yan Tunxi, Wang Xiaohan, Zhang Jing, He Guangren and Chen Chaoquan.

The other two, Deng Pantao and his female partner Chen Junyan were also charged with murder after they killed a dealer to steal his drugs.
