Majority of French voters oppose EU charter

PARIS - A majority of voters are set to oppose the European Union constitution in France's referendum on the charter on Sunday, a new opinion poll showed on Thursday.

The survey by polling group TNT Sofres-Unilog for Le Monde newspaper, RTL radio and LCI television put opposition to the constitution at 54 percent of voters.
