Real Madrid star Luis Figo said Tuesday that his present situation in the team, where he no longeris in the start lineup, is "a little unfair" .

Real Madrid's Portuguese midfielder Luis Figo has agreed to return to the national side during upcoming World Cup qualifiers, the Portuguese Football Federation said.[AFP]

He noted in the face of his possible departure from the club, "the only certain thing" is that he has another year of contract.

During a TVE television network program, Figo said "I know why I don't play; it is because of a decision" (of coach, Brazilian Vanderlei Luxemburgo).

"I keep on doing my job and my attitude remains the same. I have peace of mind," said the Portuguese international.

Figo said in spite of this situation he does not intend to leave Real Madrid.

"At the end of every season there are all sorts of rumors. I'd like to respond with respect to whatever is going to happen, but the only reality is I have another year of contract," he said.

"Also, there comes a moment in life when you think differently. Were I 18 or 19, then I would think differently. I am not comfortable and want to play, but I have a family. And also I have not wanted to address the issue a lot as I feel fine with Real andbecause I respect the club," said Figo.

He did not say why he went to Real Madrid when he was an idol in Barcelona. "I will not give any explanation because of respect to some persons. What I could say is that the club was informed of the whole process, of what was happening."
