Paris Hilton, Elisha Cuthbert and other stars of the film House of Wax received the red-carpet treatment as they put in a celebrity appearance at MuchMusic on Tuesday night to promote their scary movie.

Streets were blocked off outside the music television station as a stretch white SUV pulled up outside, and the actors emerged to shake hands and sign autographs for hundreds of screaming fans. "This is amazing. I love Canada. It's so exciting," Hilton said, adding that she wasn't fazed by the wild reaction of the crowd.

"It's like every day of my life," she said. "I'm used to it by now."

Hilton doffed her white trench coat to display a flirty summer dress and strike a pose or two or three for an army of photographers before heading inside to talk about the film, which opens Friday.

Cuthbert, who comes from Montreal and now lives in California, said she appreciated the recognition from fellow Canadians.

"It's like home," she said. "I can't believe so many people showed up. My heart is racing."

Co-stars Chad Michael Murray and Jared Padalecki also talked about the movie shoot in Australia, which Hilton described as a great experience.

"Everyone was so amazing in the movie. There were good actors. I learned a lot from working with everyone. I had a great time, and the movie turned out so scary. And I'm so proud of myself."

And yes, the hotel heiress did manage to utter her trademark catchphrase when asked about her many fans.

"It is hot."
