Taiwan's PFP rep arrives in Beijing

Chin Chin-sheng (R), the secretary-general of the Taiwan-based People First Party arrives in Beijing to make arrangements for Party chairman James Soong's mid-May visit to the mainland. [xinhua]

The secretary-general of the Taiwan-based People First Party, Chin Chin-sheng has arrived in Beijing to make arrangements for Party chairman James Soong's upcoming visit to the mainland.

Taiwan Affairs Office director Chen Yunlin meets with Chin later today at Diaoyutai Guest House. The two exchange ideas to further development relations between the straits.

Chairman of the CPC Central Committee Hu Jintao invited James Soong to visit the mainland on April 18th.

James Soong accepted the invitation on the same day.
