[AFP] | Iverson, who made 15-of-27 shots from the
floor, had scored at least 40 points and averaged 47.3 points in the 76ers'
three previous wins over the Bucks this season.
In this one, the NBA's leading scorer needed just 3:11 to score 10 points and
had 16 after one quarter to help the Sixers to a 36-29 lead. Iverson added
another 10 points in the second quarter to push Philadelphia's advantage to
70-50 at the break.
Kyle Korver added 19 points and Chris Webber 18 for the Sixers (42-39), who
had a five-year playoff streak end last season.
Philadelphia - which shot 54 percent (48-of-89) - is in seventh place in the
Eastern Conference, 1 1/2 games ahead of New Jersey and slumping Cleveland. The
Nets and Cavaliers were idle on Monday.
Dan Gadzuric collected 21 points and a career-high 20 rebounds for the Bucks,
who once again were without leading scorer Michael Redd. Desmond Mason added 22
points.
