The inaugural FIBA United Cup will be staged in Beijing in July.

The tournament, scheduled for July 26 - 31, will see the champions from all six continents compete to decide the champion of all champions.

China, the Asian champion, will join Argentina (South America and Olympic champion), Angola (African), Australia (Oceania), Porto Rica (North and Mid America) and Lithuania (Europe) in the elite tournament.

All the teams will play in a round robin format to decide their final status.
