Raul, who bruised his left shin during Real Madrid's league match against Malaga on Sunday, may sit out Saturday's match in the hope of recovering his fitness for the March 30 World Cup qualifier at Serbia and Montenegro, Spanish sports daily As said.

Raul is the Spain's leading scorer with 41 goals in 82 matches.

Valencia midfielder Carlos Marchena and Liverpool forward Luis Garcia, who have been carrying injuries, may both appear in Saturday's warmup against the Chinese in Salamanca.

Marchena trained for 15 minutes Tuesday, while Garcia completed the full session.

Serbia and Montenegro tops the six-team Group Seven, the winner of which qualifies for next year's World Cup in Germany. It has 10 points from four games, two more than Spain.
