"Twelve Girls" launch school in Tokyo

"Twelve Girls" launch school in Tokyo

The popular Chinese band Twelve Girls has established a Chinese Classical Music School in Tokyo. They have invested 100 million Japanese Yen, or 950,000 US dollars in the project.

Several veteran folk musicians from the Chinese mainland have been invited to teach students how to play classical instruments.

Members of the band will also be giving lessons whenever they are performing in Japan.

The band's lead performer Wang Xiaojing says they already have more than 10 students in the first group. The school is divided into four classrooms for elementary, middle, and senior levels.
