Webber have been named the NBA Players of the Month for January.

for the Eastern Conference with a stellar month that included averages of 26.5
points, 8.4 rebounds and 8.5 assists. He became the youngest player, at 20 years
and 20 days, to record a triple-double when he posted 27 points, 11 rebounds and
10 assists in a 107-101 win over Portland on January 19. Just three days later
he added another triple-double against Golden State.

by averaging 22.5 points and 10.3 rebounds. He registered eight double-doubles
for the month, scored at least 20 points in nine games and led the Kings to a
12-4 record for January.
Other nominees for the awards
included Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki, who won it for December; San Antonio's Tim
Duncan; Minnesota's Kevin Garnett; Detroit's Richard Hamilton; New Jersey's
Vince Carter; and Philadelphia's Allen Iverson, among others.
