China to enhance AIDS prevention

Chinese health authorities are pledging to help prevent further spread of HIV/AIDS. The Ministry of Health has called for regional governments to establish medical teams to target the disease.

Local governments have been directed to provide treatment to HIV/AIDS patients, and establish rules for the distribution of drugs. Disease prevention centers and doctors in rural areas are required to provide medical treatment for the virus, and ensure prescribed drugs are administered.
