All nine people aboard a Russian plane that went missing on Thursday have been killed, a Russian radio station reported on Friday.

The radio said the wreckage of the aircraft was found early on Friday near an airfield and that all nine people on board were dead.

The Russian emergencies ministry said on Thursday that a plane with 10 people aboard disappeared from controllers' radar screens in Siberia.

Rescue workers were out searching for the Antonov-2, a small Russian-built passenger plane, a ministry spokesman said.
