Nicole Kidman will visit tsunami-ravaged Indonesia as a United Nations Citizen
of the World. And fellow movie star Angelina Jolie plans to go to
Sri Lanka as a Goodwill Ambassador.
Oscar-winner Kidman will be accompanied by her younger sister Antonia.
"My sister and I are going to go," she revealed on US TV.
"We are going to go there in the third week of January." Kidman was
named a Citizen of the World by the United Nations last year.
The Indon tour continues her work with UNICEF.
Kidman said she hoped the trip to Indonesia would
continue to put the spotlight
on the devastated region and help continue to raise money for
victims.
"Obviously it still needs an enormous amount of attention," she said.
Jolie will visit Sri Lanka to help focus attention on the hard-hit
island.
But the star also warns of the potential dangers of forgetting about
suffering in other areas.
"We mustn't lose sight of all the other problems around the world.
There are still wars and conflicts going on in Iraq, Afghanistan and
Darfur," she said.
