The Portland Trail Blazers placed forwards Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Darius Miles on the injured list Friday and activated rookie center Ha Seung Jin.

Abdur-Rahim was diagnosed with loose particles in his right elbow and may have surgery that would sideline him for five weeks. He has missed seven games because of the injury.

Miles injured his left knee in the Blazers 102-98 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday. He is expected to be sidelined for up to two weeks.

The Blazers planned to start Ruben Patterson at small forward on Friday night against the Miami Heat.

Ha, a 7-foot-3, 305-pound South Korean, was a second-round pick, 46th overall, in last year's NBA draft. The Blazers signed him on Dec. 26 and placed him on the injured list with lower back pain a day later.

Abdur-Rahim is averaging 15.7 points and eight rebounds in 23 games. Miles, his backup, averages 12.6 points and 5.1 rebounds.
