Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum to be held in HK The ACCF 2004, with the theme of "Creative Asia," is the second cultural co-operation forum organized by the Home Affairs Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government. "Built on the success of last year's forum, the ACCF is held again to foster cultural co-operation, share experiences on the development of creative industries, enhance partnership between governments and facilitate and promote private sector initiatives among the participating economies in the region," a bureau spokesman said Saturday. Minister of Culture of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Sun Jiazheng and senior cultural officials from various provinces and municipals will be joining this year's cultural forum. Other participating countries include Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The ACCF will feature a PRC delegations meeting, an Asian cultural ministers meeting and open forums. |
