Liu Wei, a starting guard for the Chinese national team, was among three players released by the Sacramento Kings on Sunday.

Liu joined the Kings shortly before their tour of Beijing and Shanghai with the Houston Rockets earlier in the month. He is a star with the Shanghai Sharks, Yao Ming's former club team in China.

The Kings also released center Anwar Ferguson and guard Tony Bland. They have 16 players left on their roster.
