Real Madrid's English striker Michael Owen applauded the good environment and unity prevailing in his new team, in moments when good results are lacking.

"The environment is very good in the showers, irrespective of what is said about it. It was a surprise for me to see how united the team is. I beat people think that with many starts together this is not possible, but they are wrong," Owen said in an interview with the official magazine of the Champions League.

The striker confessed "I never thought I would make it in the lineup as soon as I arrived. I thought some time would have passed before I had an active participation."

As well, he recognized he is having problems with the language in his everyday life, although he thanks his teammates for the effort they do to speak English and he is interested, more and more, in learning Spanish.
