US boy band the Backstreet Boys will debut in China after pop diva Whitney Houston wowed local crowds, but the singing group will reportedly earn only half of Whitney's price.

A percentage of the concert's ticket sales will be donated to the International Special Olympic Committee.

When asked why they were willing to play a nearly non-profit concert, the five members explained that they wanted to make China a new starting point for their world tour after the band reunites from a lengthy break.

The band will first perform in Beijing on September 24th, with a follow-up concert in Shanghai on the 26th.

In addition, hundreds of Beijing fans will be given the chance to dance with their idols during the concert at the Olympic Sports Center, which goes under the title "Dance Storm".
