Chinese driver makes F1 history

Young Chinese driver Cheng Congfu debuted on the F1 track Tuesday.

He participated in a demonstration run in a West Mclaren Mercedes MP4-17D car at the Brno circuit in the Czech Republic.

The 20-year-old Chinese made history by becoming the first driver born in mainland China to drive an F1 car.

The West Mclaren team will be racing in the inaugural Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai on September 26.
