Miami Heat pick up options on Wang Zhizhi

Miami Heat picked up the contract options on center Wang Zhizhi and forward Malik Allen, the club announced on Thursday.

The Heat also made a qualifying offer to second-year forward Rasual Butler.

Wang played in 16 games with Miami and the Los Angeles Clippers a year ago and averaged 2.9 points and 1.1 rebounds.

The Heat signed with Wang in December after the Clippers released him on November 21, 2003.

Allen averaged 4.2 points and 2.6 rebounds for the Heat and was ranked second on the team with 0.62 blocks per game.
