Countries to coordinate economic policy Updated: 2004-06-13 10:51
China, South Korea and Japan will form a plan for coordinating economic
policy when foreign ministers of each country meet in Qingdao, East China's
Shandong Province, on June 22.
The plan will probably call for ministries to set up joint bodies for issues
including trade, investment and energy. The policy coordination would start in
two to three years.
The meeting of the foreign ministers is the first since a joint declaration
by the leaders of each country in autumn last year.
