China youngsters end campaign in Toulon

The China youth football team's campaign in the ongoing Toulon Cup tournament has ended in the semifinal.

On Tuesday night they conceded a 1-0 defeat to their Swedish opponents.

The Swedes took full advantage of their predominance in height and strength and a header from a first-half corner gave them the upper hand.

The Chinese side quickly launched a counterattack, but their short passes could not help them overwhelm their stronger rivals.

China will take on either Brazil or France on Friday to compete for the 3rd position.
