In a less than ideal draw, the Chinese women's volleyball team will compete in group B in the Athens Olympics, alongside the United States, Russia, Cuba, Germany and the Dominican Republic.

The host Greek team also face tough competition in their group, A, which includes Brazil, Italy, Japan and South Korea.

The Chinese will have a hugely difficult group round, presenting a challenge which will remind fans of the team's poor group games performance at the Sydney Olympics.
